James Edward Lovvorn, 68, of Lumber City, died Wednesday, March 14, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, March 17, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 6:00-8:00P.M.
A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mr. Lovvorn was the son of the late J.B. and Dessie Thompson Lovvorn. Retired after more than thirty years with Southern Nuclear, he was also a farmer and attended Dodges Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Clemmie Lovvorn of Lumber City; children, Chad (Mallory) Lovvorn of McRae and Cassandra (Robbie) Marchant of Milan; grandchildren, Carson Lovvorn, Callie Lovvorn, Dylan Marchant, Jack Lovvorn and Kaylee Marchant; and a brother-in-law, Bubbra (Jan) Bass.
