Billie Jo Davis, 77, of Chauncey, died Monday, September 18, following a brief illness.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, September 21, at New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-8:00P.M.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Bill Brown and the late Virginia Butler Hilliard.  She was a member of New Red Hill Holiness Baptist Church and was previously employed with Roydon Wear, Home Place Senior Living and Southern Charm Personal Care Home.  Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Andy Harley Davis and a brother, Harold Brown.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Roger Davis of Chauncey; son, Terry Davis (Ruthie) of Milan; brother and sister, Charles "Sonny" Garrett of Cochran and Kelly Hilliard of Albany; grandchildren, Harley Davis (Nichole), Hannah Davis, Josh Davis (Crystal), Will Davis and Hunter Davis; and great-grandchildren, Andy Davis, Gauge Davis, Andyana Williams, Lola Pearl Mincey, Millie Williams and Peyton Davis.
